Badger Talks

Badger Talks features over 350 UW- Madison faculty and staff who are available to give talks virtually around Wisconsin. We have temporarily paused requests for face to face talks due to COVID19, but if you would like to request a virtual talk, feel free to check out Badger Talks website, where you can search for speakers by topic or keyword using the search bar at the top, and submit a request for a virtual talk.

Virtual Field Trips

Take a trip and never leave home!  What a fun way to explore the world and beyond. See the San Diego Zoo, Yellowstone and even Mars!

Fall Prevention Resources

In an effort to provide older adults with a resource for guidance on home safety and exercises, a resource guide is available. Falls are the #1 cause of injury deaths in Wisconsin for older adults. It is important to keep moving and to eliminate fall hazards in your home.  If you are worried about falling and would like guidance on helpful exercises and home safety during COVID-19, please call Ron Dorr at 608-212-9120 Monday through Friday between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. This resource is provided by Safe Community of Madison/Dane County.

Well Connected

Well Connected is a community for seniors. Well Connected members call in via a toll-free number at a set time each week, with some groups also offering the option to connect via computer, tablet, or mobile device. Most groups last 30 minutes to an hour with around 12 participants. Newcomers are always welcome! Over 70 activities, educational classes, and support groups are available, over the phone or online from the comfort of your own home! See the Well Connected brochure for details.
