DeForest Area Needs Network (DANN) is a resource for those who have needs in our community. Individuals in need are directed to those who have the best ability to meet their needs. These services include help for people in the DeForest School District in the areas of safety, health, and daily tasks. DANN conducts fundraising and receives donations. Every December the community comes together to provide funds and shop for gifts for the needy in the area. Firefighters, police, social workers, churches, and neighbors fund, purchase, and support families with gifts for the holidays.
DANN disperses funds received according to the guidelines of adopted policies and procedures. It cooperates with all city, state, or federal agencies to coordinate goods and services for the temporary relief of people in the areas of safety, health, and daily tasks.
